Kym Marsh speaks of 'Corrie camaraderie'
Kym Marsh, who plays Michelle McDonald in Coronation Street, has written in her weekly OK magazine column about how the cast came together after the Manchester bomb attack last week.
And at her request, her fee for her column this week has been donated to the "We Stand Together Manchester" victims' fund.
Kym writes: "I went back onto the set at Coronation Street the day after the explosion. Everyone was immensely saddened and some knew people who'd been there that night. Likewise those who didn't still shared a real sense of loss. But there was also a sense of camaraderie, of 'Let's stick together, let's not let them beat us'."
"I have been standing in that spot outside Manchester Arena where it happened before, waiting to collect my kids after a concert. These things can happen to any of us. And when they do happen, the pain is overwhelming. Two of my children are now adults themselves, and David, Emilie and I have talked about what happened – you have to be open and honest with your family."
