Congratulations to Sam Aston on his engagement

Congratulations go to Coronation Street's Sam Aston, who plays Chesney Battersby-Brown.  Sam has just announced his engagement to girlfriend Briony Gardner.

The proposal came when Sam hosted his annual charity golf event with Corrie pals Andy Whyment and Alan Halsall.

Briony shared a video of the magic moment on her Instagram page

She said: “2 hearts have now become 1 as Sam and I are... ENGAGED!! (How is it possible I can even say that out loud?!)”

And Sam posted to instagram and twitter too, with a picture saying Me and my beautiful bride to be... https://www.instagram.com/p/BVg5K1uge1G/
