Paddy Power are taking bets now on Coronation Street’s Who Pushed Ken? story.
Various members of the Barlow family have been taken in for questioning, with lies and secrets being revealed. And as this is the world of soap, anything could happen.
Let’s take a look at the likely suspects.
Adam Barlow
Ken’s grandson Adam is the son of Mike Baldwin, who hated Ken with a vengeance. Mike and Ken were rivals for most of their lives until Mike died in Ken’s arms. At the height of their rivalry would Mike have pushed Ken down the stairs if they’d argued? You betcha! Perhaps Adam is a chip off the old block?
Tracy Barlow
Ken’s adopted daughter. She’s a convicted killer having bumped off Charlie Stubbs so we know she’s got a nasty streak. But what would she gain by trying to injure Ken?
Daniel Osbourne
Ken’s son Daniel is the apple of his eye. But he’s also a man with a mysterious past and the cops seem keen to quiz him about his missing mum Denise. Could he have killed her off? And if so, would Daniel have it in him to kill off Ken too?
Amy Barlow
Could sweet, innocent, little Amy be a Corrie killer? She and Ken seem to get along well enough but remember, this is one troubled little girl. With a mother like Tracy Barlow anything is possible.
Pat Phelan
One of the best baddies that Corrie’s had in years, and he was found standing beside Ken’s body when Daniel found Ken at the foot of the stairs. Did Phelan have a hand in pushing Ken down the stairs? He’s got form, having left Michael Rodwell to die.
Peter Barlow
Ken’s son, the ex-alcoholic. Peter seems to have turned his life around now he’s off the booze but he was angry with Ken the night of the attack after Ken refused to loan him the money to buy the Rovers with Toyah. But would Peter really attack his own dad?
Eccles
Perhaps Ken simply tripped over the dog!
Or do you think it was someone else – and if so, who would you put your money on?

Why is Amy not on the list?
ReplyDeleteShe's on the betting odds, if you click through to the website at Paddy Power but I think it was something to do with legal betting things that they couldn't include Amy on the pic as she's under 18.
ReplyDeletePaddy Power won't let Canadians in on the site because they can't take bets from us! Oh well. I'm still going with NOne of the above, it's either Chloe, Seb or a late entry, Rob.
ReplyDeleteSince it can't have been Rob Donnovan (my original pick) since he could hardly walk and Tracy clearly found him before Ken was attacked - which is why she doesn't suspect him. The touching scene where he laid a flower where Tina fell indicates his genuine remorse, so can't see him having a crack at a pensioner), the new theory in our house is that it could have been Denise. If she'd turned up looking for Daniel, you can bet Ken would have had a right old go at her for abandoning him, possibly leading to things turning violent. We do know that Denise Black is returning to the show and has been spotted on set, so ... what do other people think?
ReplyDeleteInteresting theory.... I like it!
DeleteI like your theory. I wonder if that would shorten or lengthen Denise's time on Corrie. It could be both depending on what Ken does if he remembers this.
DeleteI still say he tripped over the dog.
ReplyDeleteIt's Eccles or Seb.
DeleteYes, we know that
DeleteHow can Eccles grab Ken by the wrists?
DeleteI think Ken had just walked Eccles and he's on blood thinners, perhaps the marks on Ken's wrist were from tugging on Eccles' leash. Being dragged around would give Eccles a motive :-)
DeleteI think it's going to turn out to be Daniel. But Ken won't dob him into the Police so case closed.
ReplyDeleteHe triррed over Seb? :)
ReplyDeleteToo busy pontificating to notice him.:-)
DeleteI'm really not bothered any longer. I've gone past caring. I just wish it'd all be over PDQ
ReplyDeleteI still say it is Phelan. Who else would grab Ken by the wrists???? Picture the struggle. Grabbing by the wrists is a means of restraint....definitely Phelan. He was at the end of his rope and he was making sure Ken listened to him. Remember he restrained Andy before he killed him. Though of course since there is no mention of it....and no justice...Phelan seems to have gotten away with his crimes.
ReplyDeleteHe may have thought Ken was dead and tried to drag him off like he did with Andy. Phelan was drunk.
DeleteBeth. She went to tear a strip off Ken over Sinead's abortion and things got heated.
ReplyDeleteNever mind who did it, what are their heads stuck on in those photos?
ReplyDeleteIt's Rob.
ReplyDeletewho cares any more?
ReplyDeleteThank goodness that''s over. What's next- a death, a kidnapping, a cheating, an abuse, someone driving over a cliff, drugs, alcoholism, a murder? Oh yes, we have the Phelan thing to deal with now for months. Same cycles over and over. Not funny like when it first aired.
