Ooh, I do love a nice story on a Sunday morning and they don't come much nicer than a wedding.

Melanie Hill, who plays Cathy Matthews in Coronation Street, got married yesterday to her partner Jim Daly.

The wedding took place in a pub in Muswell Hill, North London. And to compplete her wedding outfit, Melanine wore white Doc Marten boots with red hearts on them.

We've found the boots here!  > Dr. Martens Women Bentley II Hrt Chukka Boots, White (White/Heart Red Venice/Smooth),

The Mirror reports that around 30 guests watched the couple exchange vows. None of the Corrie cast were spotted at the event.

Melanie's first husband was actor Sean Bean.

  2. Fantastic outfit! Love the boots. Didn't Tracy wear DMs when she got married to Robert? I think Blanche was very disapproving!

  5. I've always envied the fact that Melanie Hill was married to Sean Bean - complete mystery how she managed to pull that one off. Bit old for bovver boots though.

  6. How many times has Sean Bean been married? Why question how Melanie Hill pulled "that one off", but rather her sense in having two children with him, more than any other of his wives.

  7. "Bit old for bovver boots" Derelict Cucumberpatch, what does that mean? Seems a tad ageist - anything goes these days.

I'm 70, and I've a pair of DMs in purple! So there! Melanie looks great in those white ones. Congrats!

  10. eeuuww Maggie, now I have a picture in my mind of Julie Walters playing Victoria Wood's mum in dinnerladies.

And no Abercrombie, not ageist at all, just speaking the truth, I can't be doing with all this "PC" crap.
