In this week's Inside Soap magazine there's a good interview with Sam Robertso, who plays Adam Barlow in Coronation Street.
Sam is asked a whole load of questions sent in by fans and answers them as best as he can. There's one question that made me laugh out loud when I read the answer to it.
Q: "Do you have a favourite item in Adam's wardrobe?"
A: "I love his camel coat - he wears that a lot because I insist on it. It's from Reiss and it's expensive. So I feel rich when I'm wearing it. It makes me happy!"
Sam also says he would bring back Craig Charles, who played Lloyd Mullaney, to the show if he could. I can only agre with that.

I hate that coat. I don't know if it's because he usually pairs it with 'skinny jeans' type pants but it looks ridiculous and more like a baggy sweater.
ReplyDeleteThat makes three of us who would like Lloyd back.
ReplyDeleteAdam's coat isn't bad but it's too close-fitted to be of any use as a proper coat: has Adam ever been able to wear a proper suit and tie under it and button it up?
I agree with Diane. I hate the coat too - or rather, I suppose rather than hating the coat, I dislike seeing it on Adam Barlow. He can't wear it with any style, hands in pockets, ill fitting and unflattering. It was a relief to see him in another this week.
ReplyDeleteI find Adam so disagreeable that he could wear white tie or a burlap sack, it wouldn't matter. Bringing back Lloyd, on the other hand, is a stellar idea. We like Tim but Lloyd is Steve's bestie and good lord does he need a friend right now. Even if it's only for a visit. A few Skype calls. Anything.
ReplyDeleteThat coat is the only thing I like about Adam Barlow.
ReplyDeleteI love the coat too. I am not surprised to hear it comes from Reiss, as it reeks quality.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, there's me thinking it was some awful, cheap,ill-fitting coat, as Adam couldn't afford anything better!
ReplyDeleteOh, dear, he likes it. Sorry, it's always looked like a bathrobe to me.
ReplyDeleteBut Lloyd, yes!
I prefer the black on he wears. Where is that one from?
