Kym Marsh, who plays Michelle McDonald in Coronation Street, has been awarded a gong today at the TRIC Awards.
Kym scooped the Best Soap Personality award at the bash held in that London today. Kym was at the awards do with Corrie cast mates including Rob Mallard (Daniel Osbourne), Tina O'Brien (Sarah Platt), Faye Brookes (Kate Connor) and Daniel Brocklebank (Billy 'the vicar' Mayhew).
The award for Best Soap went to EastEnders.
TRIC (the Television and Radio Industries Club) Awards are voted for not by a panel of judges or a committee, but by the many members of the Industry.

I don't like Michelle the character at all, never have, but KM has done a great job as a grieving parent with the loss of Rauri and an absolute B#### with the unraveling of who's the daddy this time. Congrats. Looking forward to more.
ReplyDeleteAward for the Most Rebarbative Soap Character, perhaps. Michelle's eroded any sympathy I might have had for her. The question needs to be posed: can she ever return from this Almighty Bitch-fest?
