Jean Alexander's will bequeaths generous charity donations

Jean Alexander, who played the wonderful Hilda Ogden in Coronation Street, died last year aged 90. 

It has been revealed today in The Sun that Jean left £10,000 to an animal charities in her will.

The Sun reports that Jean bequeathed £5,000 to the RSPCA Southport Ormskirk and District Branch and £5,000 to Woodlands Animal Sanctuary. 

She also bequeathed £5,000 to North West Air Ambulance and £5,000 Southport Offshore Rescue Trust.
