No Drama This Christmas, Thank You!

Hello! It's just Jordan with a daft little something I've cobbled together this Christmas Eve. I'm sure you're all familiar with the Christmas pop classic 'All I Want for Christmas is You' by Mariah Carey. It's my all-time favourite Christmas song. After rewriting the 12 Days of Christmas last year, I thought I'd have a go at putting a Corrie twist on this one! For some reason, in my head when writing it, I couldn't picture anyone but Gail singing it. Here we go!

I don't want drama this Christmas

That is not something I need

I don't care about the ratings

Send them all to BBC

I just want a happy day

More than I could even say

Make my wish come true

No drama this Christmas, thank you!

 

I have never had a Christmas

That has been truly happy

Something always seems to happen

To bring festive misery

I don't want to spend this time

Living in a slippery soap

Sudden deaths won’t make me happy

But we all live in foolish hope

I just want to be at home

I just hope nothing explodes

Don’t want my family arrested

It's about time this soap curse

 

Was heavily protested 

'Cause I just want a quiet night

Flying trams all out of sight

What more can I do

No drama this Christmas, thank you!

 

 

Ambulance lights flashing

So brightly everywhere

Fiz has just found out

John’s been having an affair

No more revelations

They give me palpitations

Santa won't you do what we all really need

Won't you please lift the curse from this Street

 

Oh, I don't want a lot for Christmas

This is all I'm asking for

I don’t wanna have a crisis

I  can not take anymore

Oh I just want be at home
