It's almost the end of yet another year on the cobbles. And so, without any further ado, here we go with a round-up of events from Coronation Street month by month - in 100 words or less.

December 2016 

Toyah returns, Mary's son arrives, Aidan declares his love for Maria, Sally gives Tim an allotment, Roy and Cathy's wedding goes nuts, Tracy's tapes turned up, Nessa returns, Billy leaves the church, Phelan blackmails Andy after Andy attacks him, Bethany tries to seduce Gary, Nick and Peter fight over Leanne. 

Quotes of the month:

When Yasmeen has her hair done at Audrey's salon for Roy and Cathy's wedding. "I feel like an Asian Dolly Parton"

"I'm setting you free, Roy Cropper," said Cathy on her wedding day to Roy.

Sally: "I know how Angela Merkel feels."
