Les Dennis on his final Corrie scenes this week

Les Dennis leaves Coronation Street this week and he's been speaking to the Manchester Evening News.  However, he remained tight-lipped about how his character could be getting written out.

Les said: “Phelan had met his match in Michael and we will see what happens. Coronation Street has been the most wonderful show to be part of. To play a character I hope will have made an impact has been great. The Platts are a dynasty and I’ve had the best time.”

Les will star in the stage play She Loves Me at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London.

  1. As Michael is happy to be back with Gail, I can only assume that his departure will not be a pleasant one, especially given how things are with Phelan. I'm sorry to see him go, especially as I think his character had a lot of potential which has not been achieved.

  2. Agree with you Louby, I expected so much more when Les joined the cast but like Dennis Tanner, Michael's character was wasted.

  3. I agree with you Louby & Ancient Corrier - I'm sad to see him go and I'm not really happy with the way things are going on Corrie right now. Too predictable and corny. Golly haven't used the word "corny" in ages, but here it really does apply.

  4. Hope he goes out a hero. Heart attack?

Lots of deaths in the Platt family lately.
