Coronation Street Producer Kate Oates said: “The Websters have missed Rosie and so have we. With Sophie away on holiday with her sister it seemed like the ideal time to bring Rosie back home with her for a visit. We are delighted that Helen is as keen explore what Rosie has been up to away from the cobbles as we are.”

Helen Flanagan said: “I'm so excited to be returning to Coronation Street and being part of the Webster family again.”

  1. Yes! The Websters united. Just need Grandad Bill (and Auntie Pam, no relation). We could then introduce the long lost child Bill had with Percy Sugden's niece. And how about Kev's sister Debbie?? #corriefamilyhistories #iheart

And here's another one who has found out the grass isn't always greener ....

What's the betting Ryan Thomas will be back?

You've got to be a particularly good actor to succeed outside of a soap, which sadly Helen and Ryan are not.

  4. I don't mind at all for a visit, I think it will be fun to see Rosie again for a bit!

    1. I agree Tvor, nothing more than a visit, that's all

    2. Yes, it would be fun for a visit but Rosie was portrayed as such a gorgeous idiot and the show already has Eva to play that now.
This reminds me of how great I thought Sophie would grow up to be compared to her ditzy sister.

  5. Yes, a visit is fine but anything long term means an inevitable romance, this time probably with a young Barlow. The past resident I would really like to see back is Danny Baldwin but only if he was played by Bradley Walsh. Unfortunately, not likely to happen.

  6. Oh yes Humpty, Bradley Walsh back as Danny Baldwin would be excellent! But as you say, unlikely to happen sadly.

  7. I'm looking forward to her return. The 'idiot' Rosie was down to the writers not Helen, she is a good actor, given the right script.
I hope they treat her with more respect this time.

  8. Love Bradley Walsh! He is one of my fave British actors. Remember all the nicknames he had for the factory girls! Fuzz, Legs and didn't he call Sean Mincemeat or was it Meathead? :D

  9. Bit of a different reaction to Helen's return than that of when Georgia Taylor announced that she was reprising her role as Toyah Battersby

  10. I'm just surprised that the Corrie st. set has room for all the actors returning or joining the cast.

  11. There seem to be so many leaving lately, it's nice to see familiar faces returning.
But I will agree that just a visit seems appropriate.

  12. Not looking forward to her return at all. I wonder who she'll jump in bed with first - Luke, Steph's boyfriend (I forgot his name) or one of the Baldwins?

  13. What Baldwins? You must mean Connors. And the only one suitable there would be Aiden - Johnny's a bit old for Rosie.

  14. David's free for Rosie, same age (one day aрart)

  15. Or Jason will return to be with her

  16. I will take any Corrie family return, for a visit anyways. Realistic that families visit from time to time. One thing I love about Corrie is the history. Visits reinforce this.

  17. visiting is fine in limited time or as Alya put it to Sonia, when the fish starts to smell means you have outstayed your welcome.

  18. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo!!!!!!

  19. They planning on giving her a wardrobe this time, as in clothes?

  20. I think we can safely surmise that viewers are not overly enthused about the idea of Rosie returning full time. She should stay in that London and keep her sister with her also.

  21. I found it odd that they would give Sophie an "exit" story for her Brooke's time off seeing as Sophie has disappeared before for months on end without any explanation. I guess it is all to set up Rosie/Helen's return.

  22. I was hoping Sophie was not coming back let alone bringing Dozie Rosie with her. Ohhh No. I had high hopes for the new Producer that have just all been dashed!

  23. A visit is okay, as long as that's all it is. Nothing more.
