  2. It's well-deserved recognition. I hope we see more of her and that her character gets a new romantic interest after tossing her cheating husband out.

    1. She doesn't even know about the affair yet, and you've got her I a new relationship! That's the last thing Yasmeen needs. It's been stated on here on numerous occasions about the relationship merry go round, so please could we have Yasmeen staying single and adjusting to her new life on her own for a while to come. She will be a more rounded character this way

    2. I'm fed up of the relationship merry go round for younger characters who should be getting an education or focusing on raising their young children but Yasmeen is already a well-rounded and independant character, that's why I'd rather see her embarking on a new relationship, than watch Sarah, Gary or Maria start another doomed and tiresome romance.

    3. I disagree. It will take a while for Yasmeen to gain her confidence and self esteem back. She has been with Sharif for decades, raising her children and helping raise her grand children. It will take time for her to adjust to single life and gain her confidence back. She has been betrayed by her husband and best friend. It will take her a while to trust someone again. Don't put her in a relationship, she doesn't need it. Let her be a single please

  3. I agree she is a much loved, well rounded character on her own - keep her single, she always made the decisions and made sure the family got through all the trials & tribulations. She needs some me-time right now without having to worry about any of her family. That includes Alya who should be shipped out also after behaving so badly when finding out the truth, the black-mailing her father and also treating Sinead so badly.

    1. Well, perhaps you all have a point about her needing me time.
I can't help but think that as bad as Sharif's betrayal is going to feel, what Alya did is going to be worse. Yasmeen isn't just her grandmother, she's the one who raised her since her mother died. I just don't want Yasmeen almost always on the back burner like Rita or only existing when Zeedan or Alya are onscreen.
