Watch: Beverley Callard on being open about mental health

Beverley Callard, who plays Liz McDonald in Coronation Street, was interview on ITV's This Morning, er, this morning.

Beverley opened up about her recovery from her depression which at one point left her feeling suicidal.   She talks about being written out of Corrie while she was at her lowest ebb and how finding the right medication was crucial for her.  Beverley says that her psychiatrist has told her that she may well be bi-polar too.

Beverley's husband Jon was interviewed with her in the This Morning studio. He says he went to night school to learn person-centred counselling to help his understanding of what Beverley was going through.

Beverley is an ambassador for the mental health charity, Mind.  And if you suffer from any kind of mental health problem and need someone to talk to, please visit the Mind website for advice as soon as you can.
