Corrie stars take part in Alzheimer's Society's Memory Walk
Coronation Street stars Richard Hawley (Johnny Connor) and Daniel Brocklebank (Billy the vicar Mayhew) joined in a Memory Walk yesterday to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.
The Manchester Evening News reports that Richard, who’s late father Peter had dementia, said: “The atmosphere was amazing today. It was so inspiring to see thousands of people, including families and friends, walking together to build a world without dementia. It just shows why this is called Greater Manchester - the way the community is helping Alzheimer’s Society fight dementia is fantastic.”
