An exciting opportunity to be part of ITV Continuing Drama North.

Coronation Street are recruiting a Trainee Makeup Assistant to assist in the smooth running of our Makeup Department .

Our Trainee Makeup Assistant will have some Media experience and an understanding of the importance to maintain a ‘look’ throughout filming and will be able to apply makeup cut, dress and style hair as appropriate. Working closely with other departments you will ensure that this 'look' is achieved.

You will be approachable, enthusiastic and willing to learn in what is a fast-paced, exciting environment and have the ability to communicate positively with the entire production team, working closely with a team of Makeup Supervisors and Makeup Assistants. Experience of working with Makeup on a TV Drama is advantageous.

You will learn to familiarise yourself with the scripts and schedules in order to discern make-up requirements in conjunction with our makeup supervisors. You will have a keen eye for detail and proactively assist in the care and cleanliness of our make-up equipment,/Dept wigs and hairpieces.

Discretion and tact is a must for this role and you will build up good communication skills with a range of artistes, maintaining complete confidentiality at all times. You will have a Media Make up qualification, an NVQ level 1,2 & 3 in haircutting. In addition punctuality and reliability is key and a willingness to work long hours
