Billy dumps Sean for Todd in Coronation Street

Next week in Coronation Street, Billy 'the vicar' Mayhew will dump Sean, and as you can see, by the preview picture above, he ends up snogging Todd.

Inside Soap magazine reveal that Todd reveals to Billy that he's falling for him. Deciding he needs to get his head sorted out, Billy plans to leave Weatherfield and takes Sean with him. They're both in the back of a taxi leaving the cobbles when Billy spots Todd outside of Preston's Petals.  The cab is stopped, Billy get out and declares his love for the Toddly-boy.

Antony Cotton, who plays Sean Tully in Corrie, tells Inside Soap that Daniel Brocklebank (Billy) "... is going to get some grief for doing the dirty on Sean."  Well, there'll be no grief coming at him from our house, none at all.

  1. Yay! A much better partnership than Billy and Sean which never rang true for me, with Sean being so self-centred and not remotely Christian. I see this as part of Todd's rehabilitation along with his concern for Sarah and Jason. He was one of my favourite characters before he went to "that London" and had a personality transplant.

  2. I can't imagine who's going to be giving Billy grief. I think that most people would give him a medal for sticking with Sean for so long!

  3. I love the pants off this story. They are a mismatch with a common thread underneath, so it should lead to some very interesting day-to-day interactions. Sean is a mismatch for Billy that's just plain a mismatch; nothing interesting about it in the least. I really hope we learn more about Todd's time in London and Billy's past.

No doubt there'll be the usual suspects making Billy feel bad for breaking up with Sean, particularly his hen-folk from the faktry and Eileen.

  4. What ever happened to Maria's "husband"?

  5. I feel badly for Sean in all this. Yes he's very camp, but he does try his best and always gets the knock down in his love life.

I don't blame him for being angry with Billy - there was no reason Billy couldn't confide in Sean about his brother. I don't know what Billy was thinking.

  6. I'm happy that Billy and Todd are getting together, they'll be much more enjoyable than Billy and Sean. Sean's character can make almost any scene difficult to watch.
