Aidan Connor shortlisted as Best Newcomer

Shayne Ward, who plays Aidan Connor in Coronation Street, has been shortlisted for the Best Newcomer award in the British Soap Awards  .

This is a category that isn't available on the British Soap Awards website for fans to vote on.  It's a panel decision and the results will be announced on the night.

    I'll say this politely. No thank you. Johnny is a much better character and Richard Hawley is a much better actor, who, tho' he's been around, I believe is also new to soaps.
