  1. Too much Phelan. I hope he's only temporary, I forwarded through all his scenes last night. He's made Eileen unbearable too.

  2. Yes, I agree. As good as the actor playing Phelan is, I'm getting sick of his scheming as it's all becoming too, too predictable. I never cared much for Eileen in the first place and her blind attitude towards Phelan is also getting unbearably boring. Next! It's a mystery as to why Todd hasn't sought Anna and Kevin as well as Michael (even if he is away) to help him ensnare the slimy slug. After all, it wasn't that long ago that Todd was a sneaky schemer himself.

  3. Eileen's been unbearable for years! She and Phelan can ride off into the smog for all I care. They deserve each other.
It's another case of the writer fitting the character to the story and not the other way around. The old Eileen would have had him sussed out before he crossed the threshold.

Todd did ask Anna (not very subtly I may add) about Phelan but she gave him short shrift if memory serves.

  4. Gary warned Todd that Jason should watch his back. I wonder why Todd hasn't gone back for more info.

Phelan is a brilliant psychological thug but it's wearing to watch. Couldn't he have been given another side to his personality? He could have been genuinely potty about animals - or anything - to offset the villainy. Other characters could also benefit from more subtlety in the writing. I would like to hear why Sally is so ambitious and snobby. Maybe her teachers said that she'd never amount to anything.

  5. Not only is there too much Phelan but there are too many Platts being featured as well.I guess leading up to both Carla's and Kylie's exits.
I also feel sorry for Steve who loves Michelle and is doing eveeyting he can to make up to her and in return she's sulking over her guilt about kissing Will.I think either she should tell Steve the truth or forget about Will and focus on her marriage.I don't want to see Michelle sulking for weeks either.

  6. Michelle is a raging idiot and a drama queen; much like Sean. I can't believe it's taken this long for Sean's self-absorbed, hyper-dramatic, OTT episodes to cause a rift between him an Billy. At this rate, I'd rather see Todd and Billy get together - the ultimate in opposites attracting! Since the writer's can't seem to think of anything new, watch Lee turn out to be Billy's long lost son - another reason for Sean to turn this into something about himself!

  7. Here's another who has had enough of Phelan and also Eileen (one of my most disliked characters, along with Norris).

Would be great to see them both ride off into the sunset with Jason but leave Todd where he is, he's redeeming himself nicely!

  8. Phelan storyline and character tiresome. Rana...oh, come on! Izzy...OMG have been waiting for her dreary, sorrowful character to wheel off into the sunset. Alex...really unncessary on the street altogether. Callum? Leave him where he was stuffed!...I love the fact he's interred under the floor

  9. Roy marrying another hapless character is not a good idea story-wise or character-wise. He needs someone to get him out and about, having some fun and enjoying life! I like Mary for Roy regardless of the age difference. Many a quiet older man has found renewal with a somewhat younger wife and Mary can still be a mother! Would love to see both Roy and Mary find real happiness!👍🎉😋 Hayley would approve!

  10. I like Cathy. She's a breath of fresh air and really somebody who I think could develop on the street. The character of Phelan is brilliant but I agree with most, it is getting tiresome. The writing team need to tone down some characters: Sean, Sally and Phelan? Get Mary and Norris together..i would like to see some comedy and maybe even a different, more subtle side to Norris.
