Just weeks after returning to work at Coronation Street, Simon Gregson has been signed off sick again.
Simon, who plays Steve McDonald, returned to filming after taking a long absence for personal reasons. He is due back on screen later this month.
However, The Sun reports today that Simon has injured himself on a toy scooter when he was playing with his sons over Easter. He needs surgery on his shoulder after hurting himself in the accident.
Simon will be away from Corrie for a couple of weeks after this latest incident.

Oh that's awful! I hope it's not too serious...Steve is sorely missed! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteInjured to the point of needing surgery while goofing around with the kids? You have no idea how much I can relate! Get well soon Simon!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...that is so unfortunate...poor guy....and of course, we are most unfortunately losing Liz for a few months.... Gosh, darn the McDonald family have always been my favourite..... Get well folks...hope you see you both back soon and well!!
ReplyDeleteWell that's gonna leave a mark! I sincerely hope he recovers quickly and this wasn't some kind of subconscious self-sabotage, returning to a Corrie schedule must be quite the leap.
