First-look pics: Maria returns to Corrie with a new husband

Here are some preview pictures from Coronation Street to be shown on Wednesday 13 April 2016.

Maria returns to Coronation Street - and she's married, says the Metro.

Luke offers to take Maria for lunch but she makes out she’s already meeting an old school friend.

Audrey’s suspicious. Audrey and Kylie overhear Maria on the phone arranging to meet her friend for lunch in town.

When Luke calls in the salon with flowers for Maria, Kylie suggests he delivers them to the restaurant where Maria’s meeting her friend. Luke’s shocked to find Maria there with a fella called Pablo.
Luke then gets another shock when he finds out that Pablo is Maria's husband. Blimey! What's been going on out there in Cyprus for Maria?

    What? Ridiculous. This is stretching the realms of fiction. How can you "forget" to tell your boyfriend that you've married someone else?

      When did she lie? I don't remember the episode when she spoke to Luke and said, nope, I'm definitely not married. That'd be a lie. Luke is oblivious as he buys her flowers and wants to meet up with her. Not behaviour of a man who'd been lied to surely, or or have I missed something?

    Poor Luke!I'm not impressed with Maria leading him on or not even telling her brother.I guess she thought Kirk rightly I may add spill the beans.
    Hmm,I wonder how soon before Luke gets paired up with Sarah?

    Yay, Luke has been saved from 'death by boredom ' aka dating Maria. Though I wonder if Pablo has an alternative motive to have married Maria? Hmmmm? Said Audrey :).

    Is this how the script writers think they will make her character interesting? Oh dear. Has Maria had any storylines that don't just involve her being in a relationship, affair, or trying to be in one? I can only think of the Jed Stone thing but that led to her relationship with Tony.

    Oh great, another baloney immigration story line coming up. Maria's character needs to be put to rest, literally or figuratively. This is without a doubt the most pointless return of a character, bringing another body to add to the cast as well.

    Oh soap-gods, give me strength! "Oh, Luke, this is my husband. I guess I should have mentioned..." Lied or forgot, the writers are losing it aka no imagination.

    There are very few characters left that I interest me. The show is going down the bog.
