Whatever it's called, the Interflora brand will be on display as the flower delivery company has just signed a one year deal with ITV.
This means that whatever she calls it, Tracy's flower show is going to feature in Coronation Street for at least one year. It looks set to be a nice little earner for Tracy, then.
Interflora is thought to have paid nearly £1 million for the partnership, which will see the character Tracy Barlow run the new florist from 13 January.

ITV said no brand has had "such prominence" in the soap
before and "it demonstrates how seamlessly an iconic brand like
Interflora can naturally sit side by side with our content".

Barlow's Bouquets - as it used to be a bookies?
ReplyDeleteOh that's good, Llifon: that's very good!
DeleteWhy thank you :)
DeleteWould love to see it named after Deirdre. As far as the Interflora thing, even though it's advertising, it does lend a touch of reality to the shop since a good number of flower shops are part of the Interflora network. It's similar to the bank machine in Dev's. The corner shop might be a bit on the small side to have one but lots of little shops do and it makes sense for one of the businesses on the Street to have one. I would have said that the Rovers would be the most likely but maybe they don't want advertising to sully the pub lol
ReplyDeleteThe previews noted that Amy goes to fetch Robert from the Bistro and it is only when he arrives at the flower shop that Tracy unveils the new sign, so I am supposing that the name has something to do with Robert or Preston. I must say Corrie really glammed the shop out. I haven't seen anything that impressive in a long time. Good be great fun.
ReplyDeleteDeadly Nightshade's ??
ReplyDeleteVenus Flytrap
ReplyDeleteWidows Weeds
ReplyDeleteApparently Robert is stunned by the name, so maybe Robert's Roses or something like that. Or she could of named it after Dierdre so Dierdre's Daisy's.
ReplyDeleteSavage Garden
ReplyDeletePeter still owns the building and would have final say! Pete's Weeds.
ReplyDeleteBarlow's Buds! Only need change 1 letter in the current signage :)
ReplyDeletePretty good. Now which buds have you been using?
DeleteRobert's Revenge? As noted above there have been hints that it'll be named something to do with Robert but that he won't be impressed.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you back Catman I was wondering where you have been lately - your comments are always spot on!!! However I'm not crazy about the new name you picked. I'm thinking Rob's Roses - too cliché Preston's Pansies?? nope doesn't work either - I guess we will just have to wait and see. Speaking of comments left on this blog page - what happened to Frosty the Snowman?? He was always the first to leave a comment and very much on point. I haven't seen any comments from him lately.
ReplyDelete"Exercise in Futility".
ReplyDelete'Tracey's Cuttings' (you don't exрect her to buy stock in, do you?)
ReplyDelete'a thorn in the side'
ReplyDelete'Bloomin' Tracey'
ReplyDelete'carnation street'
ReplyDeleteCarnation Street! I love it anonymous above!
ReplyDeleteI think it's Preston's petals!!!
ReplyDeleteSo disappointing...naively hoping CS would have honoured the Deirdre character - Dierde Delilah? Admittedly, Bloomin Tracy is awesome.
ReplyDelete#"OH Tracy...".
