Preview of tonight's Coronation Street - Weds 23 Dec

Wednesday 23rd December
IT’LL BE A LONELY CHRISTMAS FOR DAVID Promising he’ll be back in time for Max’s panto, David heads into town to do his Christmas shopping. David’s heart sinks when he bumps into Marion. Clearly upset, Marion explains that she’s had her purse stolen and it contained a photo of Callum. Covering his guilt, David offers to bring Max round to see her and Marion’s delighted. Kylie tears a strip off David for missing the panto. When David explains how he got waylaid by Marion how will Kylie react?
ROBERT’S HAUNTED BY A GHOST FROM CHRISTMAS PAST In the shop Todd answers Tracy’s mobile for her and is taken aback to discover the caller is Rob Donovan. Swearing Todd to secrecy, Tracy confides in him that Rob might be released on a technicality and she still has feelings for him. Meanwhile Robert confides in Leanne that he’s received a prison visiting order from Tracy’s ex, Rob who wants to impart some news about Tracy. Leanne warns him he might be best to leave well alone.
ANNA’S IN TURMOIL Sally tells Anna that she wants some time alone with Tim this Christmas. Anna wonders how she’s going to explain that to Faye. Meanwhile Anna’s disappointed to see Kevin and Joanne climbing out of a cab, realising they must have been on a second date.
ELSEWHERE Convinced Hope will be home for Christmas, Tyrone instructs Michael, Sophie and Luke that he wants the Lapland project to be bigger and better than ever. In the factory Aidan challenges Kirk to a game of ping-pong.

  1. Tyrone has never been the sharpest knife in the drawer but this Lapland detour on the road to bankruptcy is ridiculous. Hope's 4. Sell the stupid tickets in eBay. Buy a couple of extra toys and decorations. Oh yeah, and spend time reading and singing and playing with her and Ruby.

  2. The red coat has made a comeback!

  3. I think someone mentioned in another post about the worn plot device of parent missing child's concert/panto/whatever and here it is again. (At least he doesn't blame the Weatherfield Wayfarer!) Along with all the other cliches - answering someone else's mobile etc..Soap traditions, but they are getting tiresome.

  4. Sally knew Tim had a child (and a grandchild) when she married him. To not include her in Christmas is petty and stupid.

  5. I don't understand Kylie. She gets mad at David for throwing out Marion once before and when he's late for the panto because of Marian after offering to let her see Max,Kylie is mad forgetting that she left Max's nativity play to convince Sarah not to have an abortion.a bit hyporcritical methinks.
Both the Platts and Tyrone's bankruptcy storylines are getting tedious now.
