Daniel Brocklebank stars in new film Soft Lad

Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Billy the Vicar in Coronation Street, was interviewed on ITV’s Lorraine this morning about his new film, Soft lad.  The film is out on DVD and On Demand now.
Softlad is written by Leon Lopez and Daniel says the whole film was shot in a week. It’s a film that was made on a shoestring but with a lot of passion, he said.

Soft lad is about how lies can destroy families and lives and has a strong message about love and trust. His character in the film has an affair with his brother-in-law.

As far as his storyline on Corrie goes, Daniel didn’t reveal anything although he praised the power of soap itself in portraying positive gay models.
