"If you build it, then they will come" - but will Tim turn up?

Will Tim turn up at the wedding next week on Coronation Street?  I do hope he does.  Sally seems convinced he will, quoting a line from Tim's favourite film, Field of Dreams.  "If you build it, then they will come".

But will they?

This week's Inside Soap magazine says Sally won't give up hope on marrying Tim and we've all seen the preview pictures for next week's Corrie showing her standing at the altar in her wedding frock.

Inside Soap says that Tim tells Sally she'll be a laughing stock if she attends the wedding but Sally's resolute.  She gets dressed up in her wedding outfit, goes to the Bistro but everyone is left feeling sorry for her.

Eventually, the mag says, the heartbreaking truth starts to dawn on Sally as time drags on and there's still no sign of Tim.  And as her awkward wedding party start to leave, Sally's left on her own.

Will Tim turn up in the nick of time or has Sally blown her chances with Tim? I wonder...

  1. I have a feeling that staff and guests will leave the Bistro with Sally sitting alone in her refinery. Tim will turn up and they will pledge their troth without benefit of registrar or witnesses. They won't be legally married but it will be enough for them forever. How romantic, I hope it happens that way.

  2. Oh I do hope he turns up and stops spitting his dummy out.

  3. Stops spitting his dummy out? Tim is certainly entitled to be angry, hurt and feel betrayed. Sally kissing Kevin was not just some passing blip. She has a long history with him. Why should Tim just suck it up when she made a mug out of him? It is an unfortunate scenario that I wish the writers had not written. No need for it. Every single wedding on this show does not need to be filled with angst and heartache. That is not real life.

  4. My guess is guests will leave, Sally will be alone and disheartened, Kevin will show up and they will marry on the emotion of the moment. Lots of regrets after and another divorce.

  5. Has there ever been a wedding on Corrie that went according to plan?

  6. Tim knows that they would have ended up in the sack if Kevin hadn't backed off. That Sally is just an old O.

  7. isn't it time for a change on Corrie - somehow weddings never go to plan - this time it would have been great for a change. Please writers change up the same old, same old.

  9. Sally is a twit. Despite Tim telling her he doesn't want to know. She tells him they are still getting married and she'll be there. Thinks she can snap her fingers and watch him jump? About time someone knocked her down a peg or two.

  10. Tim does have a right to be angry and feel betrayed. But if he's willing to forgive Kevin and not even willing to talk to Sally, then yes, he's throwing his toys out of the pram. If he still loves her, he shouldn't give up on her so easily. Postpone the wedding if necessary but he still loves her. work through it. I think the fans really love them together and the powers that be know it. I think they'll make their way back together but who knows what will happen first. Maybe Tim gets to kiss Anna!

  11. I wonder if it's her stubbornness that's got Tim riled up also. Never mind the kiss, Sally's basically telling him to 'be there' telling him what to do. So I agree with the last anonymous that she needs taking down a peg or five!
