At the Corrie press day this week, Coronation Street Producer Stuart Blackburn said that Fiz and Tyrone's Christmas day is going to be "bitter-sweet".
We already know that Fiz's daughter Hope will be diagnosed with cancer but despite what will be a very sad storyline, Stuart Blackburn said that Hope would have "the best Christmas Day ever".
Speaking about this Christmas storyline, Stuart Blackburn said "the sadness is the fear that it could be Hope's last Christmas".
Stuart also revealed some spoilers from the live episode - read them here.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
ReplyDeletePerhaps they will do a 'Pauline Fowler' and have the child die under the Christmas tree whilst Rita 'sings' a carol in the background . . .
ReplyDeleteIt was difficult enough to see Hayley die from cancer. I really think having a child ill with it is a bit too sad for Corrie. I don't think they'll have Hope die so it will be a dramatic and worrying storyline with an inevitable happy ending but still awfully wrenching to watch.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could watch yet another sad Christmas cancer storyline involving a child especially if Hope does die.
ReplyDeleteWhy can't the Christmas episodes be happier?
