First look pics: Paddy McGuiness as Corrie goes camping

Here are our sneak preview pictures of Coronation Street to be shown week of August 17th 2015.

Comedy actor Paddy McGuinness joins the show as wilderness survival enthusiast Dougie Ryan who meets up with the Tinkers and Dobbs on a camping holiday.

It isn’t long before Dougie is putting Kirk, Beth, Craig, Chesney, Sinead, Tyrone and Fiz through their paces with hilarious consequence, as he shames the boys with his expertise in all things outdoors.
Those going on the camping trip this summer are Fiz and Tyrone with Ruby and Hope, along with Chesney, Sinead, Kirk, Beth and Craig.

Dougie will be on holiday with his teenage daughter Caitlin who strikes up an unlikely friendship with loveable Craig Tinker.

Paddy said:“Being asked to appear in Coronation Street was a very special moment for me. I remember Peter (Kay) telling me how much he enjoyed his guest spot on the show (as Eric Gartside, the brewery drayman) and I can't wait to get started. It's an iconic and much loved show, not just in the UK but around the world. The character I'll be playing is very funny and I'm sure the Corrie fans will love him.”

  1. OMG Paddy! He's so funny...loved him in Phoenix Nights. Can't wait to see him on the show.

  2. Really not looking forward to this. He is so overrated. He was only funny in Pheonix nights due to Peter Kay and Dave Spikey's excellent script writing. In everything else he's been pants and unfunny. Looking forward to Craig getting a friend though

  3. Looking forward to seeing Hope and Ruby again, I thought they'd disappeared forever.

  5. I think - and hope - Paddy McGuinness will be good. We know he can act already so that's a good sign.
