Now here's a spoiler I can really look forward to! Killer Rob Donovan is set to return to Coronation Street according to ITV. He's got a Connor family secret and he's not afraid to use it.
This autumn, we'll see Rob sending out visiting orders to several residents. Whatever this secret is, he's going to use it for all it's worth to him.
Marc Baylis says: "I can't wait to play Rob again and see what he has up his sleeve, one thing is certain - prison won't stop Rob from affecting lives on the street"
I expect the arrival of Aidan Connor to bail out Carla and Underworld is what kicked this off for Rob and chances are this is going to turn Tracy and Robert's relationship upside down as well. How does he find out? We don't know yet, perhaps Michelle lets the cat out of the bag or maybe Rob has contact with some of the other new Connors about to arrive. Stay tuned!

This is good - I grew to like Rob.
ReplyDeleteOh, no... Please, no.
ReplyDeleteSay WHAAAAT?
ReplyDeleteI liked him at the end. This might work.
ReplyDeleteYay! Really liked Rob.
ReplyDeleteMakes one wonder, how will this play out for Tracy? Hmmm. And as the voice over for the end credits would say: "Oh dear!"
ReplyDeletehe'll ask tracey how she escaрed her рrison sentence for murder and voila!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they've haven't airbrushed Rob out of the picture. He was supposed to be the one who 'really got' Tracy and this talent has somehow been transferred to Robert. I always thought Rob and Tracy were a believable couple. At least, they were at the end; Robert and Tracy will never work. Soppy idea bringing him back and neither of the actors are particularly strong. KF has to be playing opposite someone who can lift her performance and Marc Baylis did that. I'll be glad to see him back.
ReplyDeleteTracy may say that Robert "gets" her and knows her better than anyone but I beg to differ. She's gone through a lot since she was married to him and done some pretty awful things. Rob knows about all the warts and knows everyone hates her but he still loved her and he's the one, if anyone, that really "gets" her as she is these days. They were a lot alike in many ways whereas Robert is a nicer guy all around.
ReplyDeleteOh this is excellent news! I love Rob and he makes Tracy palatable. Please writers, work it so he gets out under licence or something, I want him back on the street.
ReplyDeletebest news ever !!! just do it
ReplyDeleteRob ............ Robert .............. gonna get confusing :-)
ReplyDeleteMarc Bayliss was great by the end, just wondering how much he will be able to do from prison. Please say he is sharing a cell with big Jim so he is.- Micky
ReplyDeleteI really liked Rob by the end. But it seem that the powers must realise that they made a big mistake by putting this character away for murder and are now making a u turn. So that will make Tracy and Rob, two cold blooded murderers living in the same street. Sheesh.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see Rob back and he shouldnt have been written out in the first place. Dare we suspect that the PTB have actually taken notice of the viewers I wonder? Not quite sure why Robert the Wig is back again or why.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Rob will fill Robert in on what Tracy's been like. Then he will arrange for his murder... since he's already inside and all. No idea where this is all going.
