ITV Job Vacancy: Series Story Editor, Coronation Street

Have you got what it takes to lead and inspire the Coronation Street story office? Is your head bursting with brilliant and innovative story ideas to really grip the nation? If so, Coronation Street needs you.

Coronation Street has been at the forefront of quality British drama for the past 55 years and holds, without doubt, a truly special place in TV. This is a show steeped in its own rich history and still, undoubtedly, at the top of its game.

We’re looking for a talented story editor to join our editorial department, helping to create and produce storylines to the highest standard. Liaising with the Series Producer, the Assistant Producer and the Story Producer, you will prepare, supervise and edit storyline documents ensuring they’re delivered to agreed deadlines and to the highest possible standard.

You will have a proven track record in leading a story team in continuing drama and a fluent understanding of the production process. You’ll be brimming with story ideas and have a genuine passion for Coronation Street. This is not a role for the faint-hearted – you must be passionate, energetic, dedicated, talented, and resilient. Above all, you’ll have a great sense of humour to get you through the long hours.

In return, you’ll get to work with a brilliant team and be part of an institution, helping to create unmissable drama, 52 weeks of the year. This will be your chance to make your mark on the cobbles.

Our people are our greatest asset and, as an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds.

So, what are you waiting for? Click here to apply - Closing date for applications 30th July 2015.
