TONY RESORTS TO DIRTY TACTICS Steve’s signed the paperwork and sold his share of the pub to Travis Limited. Tony tentatively suggests
to Liz she should sell her share of the pub too then they could start afresh somewhere else but Liz won’t hear of it. Left alone again to run the bar, Tony’s had enough and arranges for a couple of mates to put the frighteners on Liz. When the two thugs come into the Rovers and threaten Liz, will it have the desired effect? Can Tony convince Liz it’s time to sell the Rovers?
ANNA’S FEARS FOR FAYE MOUNT When Faye asks Anna if she can go out with her friends, Anna’s incredulous, pointing out she’s got a baby now and can’t go swanning off at the drop of a hat. Anna returns to work leaving Gary to look after Faye and Miley. Realising he’s got a job interview, Gary rushes off. Anna nips home to check on them and is horrified to find Faye watching TV whilst
the baby cries.
EILEEN’S PUT ON THE SPOT BY ADRIAN Eileen’s pleased when she receives another message from Todd masquerading as Jeff from Dubai. Todd encourages her to keep her options open. But when Eileen tells Adrian how she still chats to other men on line, Adrian’s hurt and tells her she has to choose between him and her other internet friends. Has Eileen blown it with Adrian?
ELSEWHERE Having spent the night at the vicarage with Billy, Sean confides in Eileen that he found it a bit spooky and couldn’t relax. Steve feels reinvigorated after a day out with Michelle and the dog.

When will Anna realise that Faye is a child and has no interest in being a mother? That baby should've been put up for adoption as soon as it was born so that Anna & Tim didn't bond with it.
ReplyDeleteSo selfish of them to expect Faye to feel the same. The maternal instinct is not present in everyone, especially a child.
Perhaps Fay can give her baby to Jenny who is desperate enough to jump off a balcony for the want of one.
ReplyDeleteI am finding Anna's harsh treatment of young Faye quite uncomfortable viewing. So fed up with the Windasses now, but see no evidence of the rest of them leaving.
ReplyDeleteCor look at that picture of Liz, her chest could knock a man out at 20 paces!!
ReplyDeleteA while ago I suggested that julie adopts Miley, with Brian returning that idea seems more possible. Hope so, it seems an ideal all round solution.
ReplyDeleteYes that would work as long as they weren't hanging around for ages.
ReplyDeleteThat baby should never have been allowed to leave the hospital.
I've never bought Anna as the woman trying to hold her family together. Seems to me that she's the root cause of many of their problems. She should have tried a bit of tough love with Gary and it's a bit late to be starting it with Faye. As usual, the professionals are hardly anywhere to be seen in this story, leaving Anna the self-styled martyr to solve the world's problems with a hug and a fry-up. Perhaps she could be the next UN peace envoy. Faye is a high priority case so the health visitor would surely be visiting regularly and would refer any concerns to social services. I really despair at the thought if Miley staying with the family. It's just so wrong an outcome from everyone's point of view. Except Anna who clearly wants this baby for her own needs, which might be a good storyline.
ReplyDeleteAnna has always been a stupid, shallow woman and I really don't expect much from her. She's only palatable as one of Roy's offbeat friends, but he's the tide that lifts all boats.
ReplyDeleteThat child deserves a family who will love and raise her properly. Julie and Brian taking her to Wales would be perfect. He's a teacher and is good with kids, she's Eileen's sister, so it would keep that link open. The characters can visit, return, show up and cause havoc when they turn 14,... Miley is Faye's baby, not Anna's and not Tim's. They both had their chance and blew it. He'll bounce back, she's a miserable cow anyway, so what's one more gripe. Faye's becoming an interesting kid and I'd rather see more of her and Craig than the foolish grandparents and diaper changes.
It's nice to see Faye getting some love from viewers - I always liked her.
ReplyDeleteOh don't be fooled, Anon @ 15:13, I still can't abide Faye but I also don't think she should be stuck with a baby she neither wants nor needs. Ridiculous storyline.
ReplyDeletePerhaps the person who insisted on keeping the baby should take full responsibility for her, and the person who wanted to give the baby up for adoption should just be allowed to get on with her 13-year-old life. I've never been a big fan of Anna, but now she's becoming infuriating.
ReplyDeleteA bit late, I know - but who on Earth would start doing a 1000 piece jigsaw in a pub?
