In pics: Kal Nazir's best bits

Farewell, Kal Nazir.

You were brought into Coronation Street as an ex-squaddie and a ladies man.  Your first appearance was on 8th December 2013 but you'll always be remembered for this.

You helped Dev get in shape when Gary recommended you to him as a personal trainer.

You had your head turned by Leanne when you started work at the gym.
Although you weren't that keen on every bird you laid your hands on.

You showed you could play as a team member.

And as a family member you were protective.

Finally you found love with Leanne and proposed. But sadly you were burnt to a crisp in the great fire of Victoria Court during Britain's Got Talent week, 2015.

And throughout it all, you'll always be remembered for this.

  1. I didn't see him and Leanne together - they just didn't seem to have any chemistry..IMO. Well..he's toast anyway so tara Kal.

  2. That stripper scene, with all the women ooh-ing and aah-ing over Kal's supposedly buff body, would have to rank as one of Corrie's most excruciatingly embarrassing scenes ever. I doubt if Jimi Mistry will be adding it to his show-reel:(

Well it just shows that bringing in excellent established actors just does not always work - Gloria as another example. Kal seemed OK at first but of course the whole extended family have to be brought in too. A Muslim family was a good idea but when they didnt really keep to the values then it seemed pointless. He could have got a bit more in character and worked out f he was to get his shirt off as a personal trainer and for me putting him with Leanne was the final nail in the coffin. They had zero chemistry and a good Muslim boy would just not marry a woman like her. In the end Kal just did not work. Good luck to Jimmi Mystry, he has probably already moved on.

  5. Is it very wrong to be glad a character has died?

  6. Agree njblas! I also hate how they have wasted such a good actor. There would have been such a lot of potential for him, and the family too possibly, if they had thought up some better storylines for him.

  7. Kal has never gelled with me I'm afraid. I spend most of his screen time staring at his eyebrows, they seem to have an acting brief all of their own.
