Coronation Street wins Soap of the Year award

Coronation Street was awarded Soap of the Year at The Television and Radio Industries Club awards this week.

At the bash to collect the award were some of the younger cast members including Colson Smith (Craig Tinker), Sam Aston (Chesney Battersby-Brown), Brooke Vincent (Sophie Webster), Sean Ward (Callum) and Katie McGlynn (Sinead Tinker).

The awards were held on Wednesday March 10th at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Well done, Corrie!

    I wonder if the newbies' contracts include a clause that requires them to attend a certain number of these trumped up awards events.

      Free booze and your photo in celeb mags.......I don't think they'd need much encouragement to go to any event!
