The comments left on the blog post are quite clear that many fans don't want Mary to end up running the shop - but who would you like to run it? Sophie works there but perhaps is too young to run the place on her own. Could she run it with Tim at the helm, I wonder?
Who would YOU like to see run the corner shop next, looking after it while Dev is away? Vote in our poll and let us know what you think.

Please let it be Mary - she's like Shakespeare on Acid - I'm pretty sure it takes a scriptwriter some time to fine tune her one-liners
ReplyDeleteHa! Amazing comment!
DeleteP.S - Maddie and Norris would be a brilliant double act in the Kabin while Ritas Wig has gone to be Re-Conditioned
ReplyDeleteYes!!!! They were great together, weren't they this week?
DeleteIf Linda Armstrong is going to stay around, that would be a good choice and then she could be a love interest for Dev when he returns. Michael and Gail would be good for the comedy factor but it would be like Jack and Vera running the pub, a bit too much for them.
ReplyDeletePlease don't let it be Tim assisted by Sophie. Sophie has the knack of bringing anybody down, dare I say it, even Tim were she paired with him. Even Maddie showed potential yesterday when she and Norris teamed up in a positive way - and usually I can't stand Maddie - or maybe I've not been able to stand Maddie with Sophie?! Sophie really is a shocker and brings nothing to the show.
ReplyDeletePlease get rid of Mary. She is so very annoying.
ReplyDeletePlease don't let it be Gail and Michael! She is one if my least favorite characters with her patronizing chats and he's always moaning and often on tears - a real wuss!! Have watched Corrie since it started and only missed a short period when I moved to Oz and it's still a very important part of my life!! Put Mary in the shop as she'll keep things lively!
ReplyDeleteChesney and Sinead
ReplyDeleteNow that is an awesome idea! Great opportunity for them to build a business and interact with everyone on the street!
DeleteI think they are going to have to write Deidre out so Ken will be needing something to keep him occupied, he would be great in the corner shop....
ReplyDeleteand with Dev's girl friend Julie keeping an eye on Ken..conflict and humor could happen!!!
I'd rather see Tim assisted by Maddie. Let's get Sophie right out of there!
