Coronation Street fan of the week - Samantha in Winnipeg

It's time to meet another Corrie fan of the week.
Would you like to be our Coronation Street fan of the week?
Click here to find out more.

Who are you and where are you from?
My name is Samantha. I am from Winnipeg, Canada.

How long have you been watching Corrie?
I have been watching Corrie since around the time Sarah got in that car accident and then got together with Todd.

Who are your favourite female and male characters - and the reasons why?My favorite female character of all time is Sarah. I am so happy she is coming back. She is not afraid to stand up for herself and her daughter. She has had many difficulties in her life, but has overcome them one way or another.

I also like Izzy. She reminds me of myself a bit. Personality wise, and I am also in a wheelchair. It was an exciting day when she became a regular, as you don't see too many disabled people on TV.

My favorite male character was Todd, until he came back as a much more cruel person. Now it is probably David. David has grown into an amazing man and father. He has changed so much from even just a few short years ago. He has grown to become an amazing Dad to Max and Lily. Everything is all about family with him. You don't see many men like him in real life, becoming a Dad to another man's child, but he did, and it is wonderful to see. Jack is such an amazing actor. He plays David perfectly. I also quite like Steve. He is just hilarious.  It is/was also nice to see his more serious side too.

What's been some of your favourite Corrie storylines over the years?
My favorite storylines include Richard Hillman driving the Platts into the canal, Tina and Graeme's relationship, Sophie and Sian's relationship, and many more.

And what would your fantasy Corrie storyline be?
I have three fantasy storylines. The first being that Sian comes back, and she and Sophie get back together (for good). The second being that Sarah and Jason get back together. And the last being that Tracy gets killed off somehow.

  5. Samatha on David: "Everything is all about family with him. You don't see many men like him in real life,"

And we thank our God for that. He tried to kill his own brother and belittles everyone.

    He's insane.

  6. And don't forget pushing his mother down the stairs and hiding drugs in his niece's doll. He's a ticking time bomb.

  7. I don't think her hope of Jason and Sarah is going to happen. The characters are split up in real life, so I can't see them agreeing to a storyline together.
As for David, he seems to have settled down with responsibilities, however, with Callum all over him, you'd think some of the demon David would peek out and show Callum what he's really capable of.

  9. C in Canada: "The characters are split up in real life, so I can't see them agreeing to a storyline together." They are supposed to be "actors", so if the stories go in that direction, they should be professional enough "actors" to "act" the storylines. I doubt that the stories work around personal actors' issues.

  10. I for one am glad David has matured and became a responsible father and husband. Although... I do hope that he let's out the demon inside and kicks Callum's a**!
