Alison King in UTV Ireland ad for Corrie

Ambling through the streets of Dublin on a sunny Tuesday afternoon, it was with great surprise that I found myself face to face with Coronation Street's Carla Connor; the fabulous Alison King.

Not literally, but rather in the form of an advertisement for new television station UTV Ireland which launched here on the 1st of January.

Irish Corrie fans will now view their favourite soap via the channel on the usual days and times.

      I just came across this second billboard tonight. Same ad, different location. I also came across her a third time a few minutes later on a joint Corrie and Emmerdale one. She's very much Dublin's poster girl at the moment! :-D

    I know it's an ad for the channel in general but they could have written Coronation Street a bit bigger!

    You know, when you think about it, Alison King is the only one that could have been on that billboard.

    The balance of the current crop of characters are just way too depressing or bland right now.
