Was Jimi Hendrix a Coronation Street fan?

The new Jimi Hendrix film "All is By My Side" is now on general release in the UK.  And it's fuelling our thoughts that Jimi was indeed a Coronation Street fan.

We've already blogged about links between Jimi Hendrix and Coronation Street, including the Corrie theme tune sound-a-like riff in Hendrix's Third Stone from the Sun.

And now, in a review of the new film in the Evening Standard, it says: "This is kaleidoscopic film-making: we see real photos of Hendrix as a baby, archive footage of the capital, even clips from Coronation Street."
