Fireworks herald Rob's downfall

There's an interview with Marc Baylis in the Radio Times that reveals when Rob Donovan's last appearance will be. Mind you, he's not saying how it all comes down but down it will come. The fireworks on Guy Fawkes Night won't only be in the sky from the sounds of it.

The viewers know that Rob killed Tina McIntyre with a crowbar after she fell from the balcony over the builders' yard and he's been trying to keep his tracks covered ever since. Marc has a lot of good things to say about the writing and the production of the climax of the story and feels it's exactly the way it should come out.

He also hints that there's a lot of backstory between Rob and Carla set to blow up as well. “There’s a lot of stuff coming up between Rob and Carla that delves into their past but also broaches what has happened in recent times,"

I've long suspected that Carla will figure out that Rob did the deed so perhaps this is part of it. Since Marc's last appearance is in early November, it sounds as if the wedding will go ahead. Maybe. Or maybe not. Will Carla be the one to stand up at the ceremony and object? Oh I do hope so! I really want to see the smug wiped off Tracy's face when this all comes out!

I'm just speculating, but however it happens, it sounds like it will be worth waiting for!

  1. I hope Tracy and Rob DO get wed first. If Tracy is a widow Donovan, it sets poor Steve free. That is good news for us fans who have endured the Tracy/Steve shenanigans for too log.

  2. Steve is free now, surely? You cannot renege on your divorce if your marriage didn't come.

  3. I'm looking forward to the Carla and Rob scenes and I can't wait for Rob and Tracy's wedding. I wonder if Tracy will be getting the wedding that she TRULY deserves? Fingers crossed. ;)

There have been some pics in the dailymail of them filming a Carla and Tracy scene at the wedding. I can't wait!

I will be sad to see Rob go though. Never thought I'd say that.

not looking forward to the wedding and dont want Rob to get caught out. More of sad clown face and "Aw Mam" from Tracy.

  5. Is it just me or am I the only one who thinks it funny that Roy or whoever was living above the kebab shoppe, did not hear and Tina and Rob arguing and watch Rob pummel Tina to death? I mean really, the scream from Tina falling two stories to her death should have brought someone to their window. Maybe Roy did see but is too scared to say?

  6. I doubt that a disastrous wedding and/or marriage (and therefore a failing business) will affect Tracy Luv in any way. She will continue to have no sense of self-awareness, despite what Emily has told her and Ken and Deirdre continue to tell her.

The ideal Tracy Luv wedding, for viewers, would be one that nobody attends, because they don't like her. That would be a slap in the face.

  7. I also have been waiting for Tracy-luv to get her come uppance for a long time now, and this wedding is the perfect setting!
    Can't wait!
