Hayley's cancer wins Best Storyline at TV Choice Awards 2014

Hayley Cropper's cancer storyline won Best Soap Storyline at the TV Choice Awards 2014. The awards ceremony was held last night in London and this was the only award which Corrie won.  

They lost out on Best Soap Actor, Best Soap Actress, Best Soap Newcomer. And the award for Best Soap went to EastEnders.

Here's Julie Hesmondhalgh, who played Hayley Cropper, en route to to the ceremony last night.

  1. How much clearer does it have to be Corrie writers, storyliners, directors, producers, and upper management executives? Create a good storyline, write good dialogue, direct good actors well, and voila! ...you win awards. The viewers and critics really can tell the difference between quality and crap!

  2. Maybe they will listen now. Since the Hayley story line is no more, it seems the writers need to pay attention and get themselves in order. Stop with all the creepy cheating story lines and write plausible characters. Stop bringing in pointless characters for the "girlfriend" effect. Utilize the talent that you have and for God's sake, look at the history and keep it more real.
