Husband No. 1, Robert Preston
13th November 1996
Robert Preston was a carpet fitter. They were going to tie the knot in London, and not tell Ken and Deirdre the news but Tracy decided to marry in Weatherfield instead as it was cheaper. They married at the Register Office. She bought a £14 wedding dress. After their wedding, they left the street and moved to London. Tracy later had an affair in 2002 leading her to run away to Weatherfield and later divorce Robert, to Deirdre's shock. Deirdre tried to change Tracy's mind about Robert, but she simply refused to go back to Robert.
Watch the YouTube here of Robert's return to Coronation Street looking for Tracy.
Husband No. 2 - Roy Cropper
Friday October 31st, 2003
In 2003 Tracy headed up the aisle with a most unlikely suitor, Roy. Spiking his drink and claiming they'd slept together, toxic Tracy lied she was carrying Roy's child to swindle the Croppers out of their hard-earned cash in exchange for giving them her baby, which the Croppers named Patience.
Husband No. 3 - Steve McDonald
Monday January 23, 2011
Steve's wedding to Tracy didn't get very far before it was ruined at the altar by Becky. The wedding went ahead with Becky keeping quiet so that she got her ultimate revenge on Steve's betrayal of her - by making him marry Tracy.
Husband No. 4 Rob Donovan in October 2014 Or will it all end in tears?
I'm hoping that Rob and Tracy's wedding will be called to a halt when they're half-way through saying their vows, with Tracy acting the Big I Am. The police will come into the church and arrest Rob for Tina's murder. Deirdre will light up a fag in the pew, Ken will despair and Peter, out of jail after being found innocent of Tina's demise, will drown his sorrows in the vestry with a jug of communal wine.

ReplyDeleteWow, I had forgotten about the Roy Cropper scenario. What a horrible thing to do to someone. In reality would ANYONE on the street even talk to this poisonous person? She makes Norris look like a social worker. I think they have stretched our imaginations to the limit with Tracy luv. Time to move on.
ReplyDeleteShe does need one HUGE comeuppance though!
Just look at the joy radiating from her face at each wedding opportunity! I can see why she's so thrilled to be tying the knot with Rob. Thoroughly miserable character.
ReplyDeleteTracy is too old to play the tricks she does at pushing 40. She's simply tiresome and not even worth hating. Todd will go the same way if he's kept on long-term. The character has come to the end of the road and the writers can think of nothing more than 'who else can Tracy upset?'. We might discover she has some hidden depths if we saw her confiding in a best friend but, like most characters on the Street, she has no friends. I don't really care anymore about Tracy getting her come-uppance. I'd be quite happy for her to go off in a blaze of glory provided she never came back.
ReplyDeleteHow do we include the fateful relationship with Charlie Stubbs?
ReplyDeleteI'd say it's a pretty safe bet that Rob will be dragged off by the police half way through the ceremony.
ReplyDeleteI can't even remember the last Corrie wedding that went off without a hitch.
Humpty Dumpty: remember when Tracey became unlikely friends with her roomate, Beth? That was an interesting side to her character. that's gone to the wayside, like so many promising storylines.
