ROB STRUGGLES AS CARLA GETS HER LIFE BACK Carla tells Rob and Michelle that she intends to get the factory back on track and she apologies to the workers for the awful things she said. 1. I don't get why Gary and Izzy are drifting apart. There have been a few sharp exchanges out of the blue and now he's cheating on her. Yet another triangle. Dull.

  2. I'm actually looking forward to seeing Alya's character. I don't mind the Nazir family. I find Kal's dad hilarious, coming from a similar ethnic background.

  3. I agree with Humpty, there has been nothing to show them drifting apart yet. Any disagreements they may have had seem like normal issues you go through in a marriage. So to all of a sudden have Izzy say they're drifting apart and Gary to cheat on her that same night? Poor writing.

  4. Agree. Boring and unbelievable...getting now to serious low quality territory...just writing any template plot and shoehorning in details right and left, credible or not....awful....just awful...

  5. I hope Leeanne countersues Nick for adultery as he have a one night stand with Kylie and hid behind mummy instead of being a man and tell her.

Although Jane Danson is an excellent actress, I think Lee anne may have had her day in the Street, just lurching into yet another relationship. Should have kept her with Peter. Corrie needs a cull of dull spent characters if they are going to keep introducing new ones.

Leanne if she so chooses could also file for divorce not only on the grounds of adultery but also physical abuse and mental cruelty.
And was it not Nick who decided that the relationship was over because of his anger issues? Was he not the one who moved out first?
Just because he has changed his mind does not give him the right to treat her this way! he said it was over - she begged to give the relationship another go and to keep trying - he said NO. Who can blame her??

  8. My first reaction on reading this preview was "What a lot of stupid behaviour!" Then I realized that it was, of course, as usual, stupid, or rather, lazy, writing. Whoever is in charge of story arcs needs to be fired. There's no continuity of characters anymore. People do erratic, sporadic, actions out of the blue, with no consistency. It's getting harder and harder to watch!

  9. I agree with Frosty, girl's not been in street 5 mins and shes hopping in bed with Gary Windbag! Plus are all detectives on corrie reading from a big book of sarky get lines? That book is donkey's years old now and needs binning! --Smelloid

  10. Hm. Gary refuses to stay home and look after his child. Isn't that called "parenting", not "babysitting"? Where was Izzy off to with such urgency?

  11. This Gary and Izzy drifting apart is so unbelievable. Even a dumbhead like Gary Windass who's now a father wouldn't say to the mother of his baby -- I can't look after my own kid I've made plans (yeah... plans to go to the pub)... incredible for the writers to think we believe even Gary Windass would be even more irresponsible than a David Platt...

Does the show's Big Boss Mr. Stuart Blackburn know at all ANY of the Corrie characters???

  12. Yeah, all of that. Gary is unbalanced. Kal is duller than rust. Nick, with his selective brain damage, is the worst; he can't seem to remember that he walked out on her. After she stood by him. At least Jason remembered that he has work tomorrow, and David seems to be growing up. There's some hope for the men of Weatherfield.

I am so looking forward to Eva behind the bar. How awesome would it be if she also became Stef's new BFF when Katy leaves?

  13. Oh dear all this sounds terribly tedious and boring. I've not watched since the 'murder week'. I was busy and then didn't bother catching up, just came and 'caught up' from the lovely community here instead. Nothing made me want to bother switch on and judging by the 'summer spoilers' I can't see me switching back on in a hurry either. Sounds lazy writing and frustrating.

Graeme N should be put in charge of storylines without doubt aided by some community members here. Those at Granada have no clue these days sadly - what are they doing? They no longer know the characters, there's no continuity, it's all affairs, bed hopping, and babies out of wedlock. There are only 3 couples married and one is separated, the other has her husband living in Canada never mentioned and the third is so volatile it's like a ticking bomb.

Is that the sad state of the street.....?! No wonder Jean Alexander turned if off!

  14. Beth, I fully agree with your post.

What with NHL play-offs, and FIFA playing around with the schedule in Canada for the past months, I've missed more eps than I've watched, and not missed missing them either.

I couldn't agree more with your suggestion that Graeme N. and others that have been long-time devoted, interested and knowledgeable viewers, should be in charge of story lines.

It is sadly true that Corrie has very badly, perhaps irreparably lost it's way along with many viewers or those still hanging on out of habit and yet wondering "why"?
