Michael Le Vell directs Coronation Street episode

The Mirror reports that Michael Le Vell, who plays Kevin Webster, has made his debut as a director at our favourite soap.

They have pictures showing Michael on the set, directing scenes with Chris Gascoyne in them, who plays Peter Barlow.

Michael is reportedly not expected back on screen as mechanic Kevin Webster in Corrie until September.

  1. Good luck to him. He is said to get on well with co-stars and has been on the show for a long time so will understand workings of the show. Just hope we don't lose him in front of the camera.

  2. I thought he was back in rehab. Good luck to him staying clean, and adding directing to his resume :))

Hopefully directing will give him a new lease on life and help with his rehab. Good luck to him :)

  5. WOW! Thar's right, rehab. That must be pretty intense, directing the Peter Barlow character through the rough times. Good luck to him for sure!

I think Michal should concentrate on directing rather than keep boomeranging back and forth as Kevin who lets be honest is now an exhausted and superfluous character. Sally has moved on and so should he. Good luck to him.

  7. There's a plan here surely on the part of tptb. Could mean that Kevin won't return to Corrie as he no longer fits in with storylines. However, as part of a deal, Michael le Vell will be offered directing opportunities with ITV in the region. Only guessing.
