PHELAN MAKES ANNA AN INDECENT PROPOSAL A desperate Anna calls at Phelan’s and pleads with him to stop making their lives a misery but Phelan tells her he will only destroy the CCTV and release them if she spends the night with him. Utterly disgusted, Anna leaves but when she finds Gary crouched on the floor, crying and unable to take anymore, will she reconsider Phelan’s indecent proposal?
SOPHIE’S OUT OF HER DEPTH Having spent the night together in the hostel, Maddie and Sophie are horrified when two thugs force their way into their room demanding money. Threatening to come back tomorrow, Sophie wants to go to the police but Maddie’s having none of it. What has Sophie let herself in for?
STEVE’S PUT IN AN AWKWARD POSITION Andrea calls at the Rovers to work on a history project with Steve but leaves in a huff when he accuses her of still carrying a torch for him.
ELSEWHERE Julie is unimpressed when Todd has a go at Maria for her treatment of Marcus, blaming her for the fact Marcus has gone to London.

I thought Anna was meant to be street-smart? I can't help but wonder if she has a thing for creepy Phelan. If you find a man repulsive and dangerous, why make so much effort to meet up with him alone (at her own home and now his)? Can't be any more of a dangerous and futile situation.
ReplyDeleteMethinks the lady doth protest too much :-)
ReplyDeleteYep Anna "calls round" at Phelans again. The Windbags are so damn stupid that its hard to have any sympathy for them, opposite in fact - I am routing for Phelan! I would like him to be a Street regular and write out this ever annoying family.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for retribution and am happily watching the downfall of Owen, Anna and co. While we're on the subject, when does Tracy get her pay-back?
ReplyDeleteI too don't feel any sympathy towards the Windasses; don't like any of them.
ReplyDeletePhelan is a cold, calculating con, crafty, contriving and kind of creepy, but I'm loving the actor's performance.
I hope the writers use this opportunity to show the Windasses tightening their belts for as long as it takes.
With the exception of Gary whose temper caused this whole mess,I actually feel sympathy for the Windasses as I think they have become likeable characters especially Anna who was there for Roy during Hayley's illness and death. In the past we've seen evil prevail with Tracy and now with Tina and I don't want to see the same result with Phelan.Corrie is becoming too dark as it is now.
ReplyDeleteOwen/Anna/Gary/Izzy have got to be the most annoying family on the street.
ReplyDeleteHave to say this story line stresses me out. It's just no fun for me to watch at all and I'm just not having anything to do with it. It's the only one I've ever fast forwarded each time it comes up in my 25 odd years of watching Corrie. All the more thankful for the Steve and Peter morning after scene, still lmao on that one!
ReplyDeleteIn Canada and cannot wait for this 'morning after scene' with Peter and Steve. I know what you mean about being stressed out. Not many smiles on faces or pleasant things happening on the street these days.
ReplyDeleteI loved Kirk defending Maria. Loved it loved it!
