Beverley Callard on big storylines for the McDonalds

Beverley Callard, who plays Liz McDonald on Coronation Street, was interviewed on The Saturday Night Show in Ireland at the weekend.

Talking about the clothes that Bev has to wear as the Liz, she reckons the Corrie wardrobe department buy clothes for Liz for a laugh. "It's good fun," she says and revaels that she wears a pair of pants that are too tight so that Liz always has a VPL.  "Beverley doesn't, but Liz does!" she says.

She says she'd love Charlie Lawson to return as Jim McDonald and that they remain in touch and are great friends.

Beverley has become an ambassador for the mental health chairty Mind.

And, she says, there are big storylines coming up for Liz and the McDonald clan in a couple of months time.

  3. I would love to see Jim back forever and with Liz. However regarding the clothes she has to wear I am not that keen on the look at all. What is VPL??

  5. Yes get Jim out of prison, it was a stupid idea sending him back with that farcical bank robbery. Time we had some male characters with backbone and not acting like cowards or comedy characters being used as a doormat. Maybe Jim can give Steve some lessons in growing a pair.

  7. Oh yes - please bring back Jim! The McD family belong behind the bar of the Rovers. TVOR - good thought that maybe the big McD stories will involve a breakup between Steve and Michelle - hope springs eternal!
