Judging by the spoilers for next week's Coronation Street, there's a bit of love or lust in the air for Dev and Stella after Dev asks Stella to go to the retailers' ball with him.
Dev is the heart and soul of the Corner Shop, I cannot see it without him and would never want him to leave. But obviously the happiness won't last long as Stella is leaving (Unless the producers decide to axe Dev, I really hope not!)
I agree with "lifton". I always thought this could happen and I'm not looking forward to it. Don't really mind Dev but do not like the Stella character.
Bit pointless as I gather he's staying on and she's leaving soon. Once a character's exit has been announced, I find it hard to engage in any storyline that isn't linked to that exit. So getting Stella involved with Dev when we know they won't end up together seems a bit unnecessary.
Puke - nay nay - it will lead to more on screen time with Stella of the beige (who seems to be wearing a little less beige since she left the Rovers, Lord be praised). I like Dev though, why does he have to be paired with someone who is on their way out? more unhappiness for him.
Nay!!!! Look - Dev is redeemable....if Mary cannot have him...why not a quirky pairing with Julie? These are two women who would be wonderful step mothers....but Stella! Really? Can you picture Stella packing lunches and helping with homework? Good grief.....let's move on from this one please.
Can't think this is anything except two lonely loveless people coming together for a bit of mutual support. There is too much history surely, for this relationship to be a goer. Stella has always come across to me as very needy, and although Dev likes to be the one looking after his woman, that is not emough. And ANYWAY we know that she is leaving. I wish tptb wouldn't announce departures in advance, it just spoils any suspense the story might build up.

YAY - ONLY if they go off together to live somewhere else. He is a ridiclous stale character and she never worked as a character - Tata.
ReplyDeleteWho cares? They're both pointless characters and I would be quite happy for him to leave when she does. Except he won't, because of the children.
ReplyDeleteGo Dev! There was always a chemistry between the two characters so why not?
ReplyDeleteI sensed this was going to happen after Karl's trial, but thought it was nothing. I think they fit each other unlike Peter and Tina!

ReplyDeleteNay, nay thrice nay! It'll give them both more screen time. No thank you.

ReplyDeleteJust when I was thinking that Peter and Tina were the worst pairing on the street...
ReplyDeleteThey go together like ham and cheese.
ReplyDeleteAh why not? i could see it coming a mile away. Doubt it will last long.
ReplyDeleteNay!!!!

YAY - get them together and then get them both off the screen! Both have no where left to go with storylines.
ReplyDeleteAny storyline that gives Dev more screen time is fine by me

ReplyDeleteIt was on the cards all along that they would get together and it's a yes for me
ReplyDeleteDev and Mary...just a thought.
ReplyDeleteDev and Mary? I don't think so.
ReplyDeleteMary and Dev's Uncle Umed however ...
