Corrie A-Z: Y is for YouTube

YouTube – a haven for Corrie fans! Since 2005, we have been able to watch or upload clips and episodes of Corrie – from the 1960s to the present day.

There are fabulous channels that include classic Corrie episodes – be it from episodes recorded on old VHSs from Granada Plus, ITV or CBC. Then there are episodes of the video series profiling various Corrie characters up to the early 1993, titled ‘The Coronation Street Collection’. Characters profiled include Ken, Deirdre, Rita, Emily and Mavis, Bet, Annie, Len and Elsie, Alf and Audrey and Ena, Minnie and Martha.

My favourite Corrie channel has to be mrmagister1. He’s got great episodes from the 1970s up to the 1990s.

    auntie corrie has from april 1976 to june 1981 uploaded and will upload to 1994.
    I also like CLKfanvideos for more recent episodes.

    Does anyone have any episodes from 2000-2005 that they could upload to youtube?

    neversurrender906 posts every episode within hours of it screening, which is great for Kiwis like me who can't use the ITV player.

    (Sshh! Don't tell the CBC. They're already nervous about their viewer numbers & Harper's budget cuts.) I watch Corrie's newest episodes as soon as some kind souls post them on Youtube, usually within a couple of hours of the UK screening. I also watch the CBC showing, which is a couple of weeks behind. I find being reminded of what recently happened helps me to notice subtle little things in the new episodes, and seeing the new shows and knowing what's coming helps to put some of the actions in the delayed broadcasts in better context.
    Does this make me a Corrie junkie?!
