Corrie Weekly Awards for Oct. 7 - 9

Baby Acting award: You could tell that baby did not want something stuck in her mouth!

Curtain Twitcher award: Naturally Sally would notice curtains twitching (at Tim's) being so good at it herself.

Spineless Coward award: Tim

L Permit award: Finally we are seeing some of Roy's driving lessons!

Musical Ambiance : Hit the Road Jack in the pub with David talking to Tina about the DNA test Nick wants.

BFF award: I really like Carla and Hayley's emerging friendship.

Oldest Trick in the Book: Tim only had a few coins in his pocket, not enough to buy drinks so Sally had to pay.

Secrets and Lies award: Daddy Connor lied about the real reason he left Ireland. Mum's not away, she chucked him out. Steve isn't lying exactly, but he's keeping the pub sale a secret. Tina's

Start as you mean to go on: Don't work through your first day, Eva, they'll expect it every day.

Lines of the week:
Roy "I'm not very good at subterfuge"
Eva "What makes her so sure she's got the job?" Fiz "Because she's got an over inflated sense of her own importance"
Steve wants a favour: Lloyd "I'd rather watch a Scandinavian movie with subtitles, in black and white" Eileen "I'd rather get my head stuck in a railing, get rescued by a handsome fireman who breaks my heart"
Kylie about Tina "I wish she were ugly"
Sally "I'm not someone who likes to complain" (yes, you are)
Sally about a tarted up Eva "Can you imagine employing someone like that as your personal assistant?" Tim, rolling his eyes back in his head "Only if I tried very hard"
Barry "When two people have been together for so long, they need a break!"
Stella "Steve McDonald. International man of mystery"

  1. The baby is Nick's, judging by the blondish hair, genetics taken from Nick and Brian.

  2. That baby should be up for the Best Newcomer award.

  3. IMHO Time: Lily has to be David's daughter. Lily Platt sounds nice, Lily Tilsley is a tongue twister (try saying it 3 times fast).

Shoehorning Award: Tina's friendship with David pre-dates Kylie and she's his step sister. There's enough going on chez Platt without shoving in Kylie's unfounded jealousy thingee. She should be walking on eggshells right now, not going into histrionics.

Short Shelf Life Award: Tim. Started off clumsy but interesting with Faye, then added a nice little friendship thing with Sally, but wow did he go sour fast. Of course, Sally's eagerness would curdle anyone.
