ITV launch Hayley Cropper's online diary and blog

Hayley Cropper’s cherished memories of her last precious months with Roy are to live on in a touching blog, with extra scenes exclusive to a new website called Hayley's Diary at  http://www.itv.com/hayley

Coronation Street scriptwriter Ellen Taylor has penned twelve funny and moving blogs in Hayley’s own words to run alongside the extra scenes between September 30th and mid October.

We've already seen terminally ill Hayley tell Roy that she wants to celebrate their life together and she compiles a wish list of things she would like them to do. Whilst some of the heartwarming scenes will appear within Corrie itself, an exclusive blog, photos and extra scenes will be available on the official Coronation Street website.

Hayley’s diary will launch online on September 30th and will follow this much loved character’s journey as she overcomes childhood fears, encourages Roy to try out new experiences and realises lifelong ambitions.

Three exclusive on-line scenes will see Hayley overcome her childhood fear of puppets with Roy’s help, go on a camping trip with a difference and revisit the boating lake where they had their first kiss.

A series of uplifting photographs will accompany the blogs as we see Hayley do everything from completing a Rubik’s cube, teaching Roy to drive and eating a red hot chilli to riding on the back of a Harley Davidson!

  3. Not a matter of just giving a well-loved character of 16 years vintage a rousing send off then? Why are anonymous' comment so bitter and twisted I wonder?

  4. Hayley is a beloved character and true to her spirit, she'd want to share her last moments as happy ones. Better than just a big boo-hoo at the end!
