And tonight we'll see the morning after the night before. Will Tim rush out and disappear to his new life in Newcastle, leaving Sally to cook beans on toast for one? Again?
Or if, as seems likely, he might stay (just to wind Anna up, that'd be enough for me) and dally with Sally.
So, what do we think about Sally and Tim together. Will it work? Yay or Nay?

I think so, until Kevin comes back at least.
ReplyDeleteIF Kevin comes back. Or Ken for that matter....
DeleteYay. Sal deserves to have a bit of happiness, Tim, the loveable rougue.
DeleteAbsolutely - if nothing else than to rub than nasty Anna's nose in it. They seem to get along well.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Kevin is coming back anytime soon.
Shanny said: Yay. She needs someone to bonk and it might as well be him.
ReplyDeleteDisappointed that Sally has to dally with anyone. Wouldn't it be great to hear a Corrie female say: 'I'm off men for a while'? Sally was my one hope that a mature woman could have a life beyond family and romance. But then she wouldn't have the opportunity to scrap with Anna in the street, and we're all so looking forward to that, aren't we?
ReplyDeleteThis is an excellent development:
ReplyDelete1) About time Tim found a woman. Likewise, Sally a man.
2) The pair will REALLY get up Anna's nose.
3) I applaud anyone who gets up Anna's nose.
4) Hopefully, Anna, Owen and the brat kid will leave Corrie as a result!
WIN WIN WIN WIN.
You can't beat a snog on the old soft furnishings I always say.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's a tentative Yay from me. She's had some dodgy flings in the past. Tim's no dodgier than any one of them.
At least Kevin won't catch them at it. For a while!
ReplyDeleteYay! A little bored of comments saying Sally should be her own woman and going it alone - I completely disagree. I think it's great to see her find a bond with Tim, and think they actually make a really good pairing. Hope they're setting them up for a longer term romance!
ReplyDeleteYay from me - it gives Tim a reason to stay and I think I quite like him now that it seems he's just a bit of a lad who's heart is in the right place, even if he has little in the way of parenting skills. And it gives Sally a new storyline and she is one of my fave characters. And hopefully it means TPTB won't be pairing him with Anna and that can only be A Good Thing!
ReplyDelete"Dally with Sally"? Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteOh oookaaayyy then . I'm not keen on the idea but Sally's not had much to do recently . I'm sure it's only happening due to Michael le vells court case. Sets up nicely for his return - or not .
ReplyDeleteYay! I think it's nice that Sally's found a fella who seems to be a good'un so far. He might not be a natural born parent but he did try. And I think he and Sally are far better suited than some of the yobs she's been with in the past, especially when she's tried to be with men more sophisticated like Frank Foster due to her own snobbery. She's got far more in common with ordinary Tim than the likes of Foster or that car dealer she had the affair with .
ReplyDeleteYes I want Tim to remain and build a good relationship and Sally needs a decent bloke. I don't want her back with Kevin, even if he returns, as I prefer her without him and she has been doing fine for the past 2 years since they separated.
ReplyDeleteAnd anything to rub the two bullies Anna and Owen's nose in it is a bonus. Fed up with them threatening people and bullying.
RUN TIM, RUN!!!
ReplyDeleteI predict the writers will eventually make Tim and Anna as an item.
ReplyDeleteSally's snobbery is lurking, waiting. She will very shortly try to change Tim, to improve his appearance, and to instill some ambition in him. He's avoided such things all his life. He's drifted without a plan and he's not going to let a woman change that now. Any relationship they may start is doomed.
ReplyDeleteI'm on the fence still about Tim so it's a YaNay for me.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind Sally having some fun (she knows he might be leaving), but I find the character of Tim to be so bland. He was a bad parent in a very vague do-nothing way. With Sally, they do seem to have a laugh, but the weeks of him languorously shuffling the cobbles with little feeling put me off him. So it's a no. I do like the thought of Anna going ballistic though.
ReplyDeleteI know I've seen Joe Duttine somewhere that I liked him, and IMDb jogged my Pie in the Sky memory! Loved him as the young chef in that!
Please let Sally do something productive with her life. She has ambition, cash, experience, creativity and many other things going for her!
ReplyDeleteWhen she said "Do you want to take this upstairs?" I was like whaaaat? really? I don't think she knows his surname let alone anything about him. I'm no prude but c'mon have things come to this on the Street? Couple of awkward hello's in the cafe, a few more in the pub. A swig or two of beer, two snogs and that's all it takes these days? Before that they were too awkward to hold a conversation together. I mean Wow!
ReplyDeleteDidn't he have a girl in Newcastle? Where's she gone?

ReplyDeleteI think Tim is far too scruffy for Sally, and I cannot for the life of me, see what she sees in him.
Yay! I can see a lot of interesting scenes with Sally and Tim. I did like how Sophie pointed out she was treating him better than she treated Kev...but that is Sally all over anyway.....she even treated the spawn of Les Battersby better than poor Kev. lol
ReplyDeleteI think it will be fun to see them carry on and cause irritation for Anna. LOL Just loving it.
