Julie Hesmondhalgh swaps Street for stage

Julie Hesmondhalgh will be leaving Coronation Street as Hayley Cropper later this year. 

 

And after leaving the Street, Julie returns to the stage.  She'll be starring at Manchester's Royal Exchange in Simon Stephen's brand new play Blindsided set in Stockport  The play starts January 2014.

 

BLINDSIDED is an unexpected and romantic play about murder, spanning from the beginnings of the Thatcher Government in 1979 to the birth of New Labour in 1997.
