Tracy Barlow to be beaten up by thugs

There's a Coronation Street spoiler in today's Daily Star that says Tracy Barlow will be beaten up by thugs after she becomes a delivery driver at the knicker factory.

The paper says: "The gobby ex-jailbird will be beaten to a pulp after thugs ambush her van and steal its contents."

What's Tracy doing driving the van at Underworld in the first place? She's having to cover for Kirk, says the Star.

Hmm.

Have we ever seen Tracy drive before?

  1. If this is an attempt to evoke viewers' sympathy for this appalling character, it will fail.

  2. I'm biting back unkind words about this character's storyline. But no problem, she'll be in Weatherfield General for a couple of nights and back home as if nothing's happened.

Not ANOTHER main story for this dreadful actress? How many AW MAMs can we stand I wonder?

  4. Tracy drove a cab for Streetcars in the past.

  5. If this is an indication of what we can expect from the new producer they might as well cancel Corrie now.

  6. The Corrie PTB have apparently twigged to the fact that we don't like Tracy, and we were disgusted by her implausible return to the Street.

Her kidney disease a few months ago didn't soften our hearts. So now they're going to have her savagely beaten.

My first thought is that maybe this will wipe that smug smirk off her face for a second or two. My 2nd thought is why didn't these thugs just finish her off and REALLY give the people what they want?

I would be willing to hold the thugs' coats for them.

  8. I hope the thugs get off on a technicality.

  9. It is really difficult to have any sympathy as she is a very one dimensional character. She killed a man and got off on a technicality but the worse thing of all is that she had no remourse whatsoever. I think that viewers would be egging the thugs on rather than sympathising. The storyline might have more depth to it if it had been Kirk who was attacked.

  10. Please don't have Steve hover over her bedside again with a 'will she make it scenario'...if Karl has nothing to do there might be a new breathing tube to pull out...for that I would be hailing him a hero!

  11. Too much crime, too many repetitive storylines, too many characters I don't give a fig about.

  12. Please don't have Steve hover over her bedside again...

It would only take 5 minutes of Steve hovering over her bed and she would be pregnant again, must be osmosis or some such thing as she seems to get pregnant every time Steve's within 10 feet of her for more than 5 minutes

Not that I want a storyline centering around her, but I'd luv to see her get a good beating.

  15. This will be the fourth time Tracy has been in hospital since she came back! I don't mind Tracy but they're clearly running low on ideas for her.

  16. I hope they are sure to punch her in her damaged kidney; a lot. I'd never say that about anyone other than Tracy. Detestible wretch! I hope this storyline is a nod to her departure from the Street, if only to be in hiding for the rest of her life from Charlie Stubbs' buddies looking for revenge.

Er WHY exactly would a gang "ambush" a van to steal cheap pants? Unless they mistook it for a wages van? Agree with previous comment that Treasea-luv is such a nasty piece of work that nobody has any kind of empathy with her. Kate Ford's am dram style of acting wont make it any more believable either. Should have done it with Beth, Julie or Eva - anyone but her.
