Coronation Street has won the award for TV Soap of the Year at the TRIC Awards 2013. The awards ceremony was held today at the Grosvenor Hotel in that London.
Michelle Keegan was also nominated for the award for Soap Personality but lost out to Shane Richie from EastEnders.
Pictured above with the award from Corrie are left to right - Alison Sinclair (chief publicity manager) with cast members Sam Aston (Chesney Battersby-Brown), Georgia May Foote (Katy Armstrong), Sol Heras (Ryan Connor) Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre), Phil Collinson, Catherine Tyldesley (Eva Price), Antony Cotton (Sean Tully), Natalie Gumede (Kirsty Soames) and does anyone know what the geezer is on the end?

I can't believe I'm about to say this but I've begun watching EastEnders to counter the lull of Corrie over the past while. I find I am engrossed in the going's-on there while mildly entertained by Corrie. I am truly shocked by this award. Congratulations, though, as there are some fantastic actors on Corrie!
ReplyDeleteNah...EE is just trashy as hell and they re-hash storylines over there too.
ReplyDeleteWhy are none of the senior cast members here?
ReplyDeleteThese are the young fly-by-nighters.
Well done Corrie!
ReplyDeleteWill Phil Collinson be at the British Soap Awards or will Stuart Blackburn?
Nice to see it's the back bone of the cast that went to collect the award! dear dear me.....
ReplyDeleteAnother picture of Phil Collinson grinning smugly.
ReplyDeleteLove Kirsty's dress but the shoes dont go with it somehow?
